How do you to give a 5-minute presentation?
You give a 4-minute presentation and take your time.
The same is true if you’ve been asked to give a 30-minute presentation. Give a 25-minute one and take your time.
One of the biggest mistakes I see over and over again as a corporate presentation trainer is that people do just the opposite: they give a 7- or 8-minute presentation in 5 minutes.
This causes people to speak really quickly and to jam so much information into their presentation that it’s just not effective.
